When the Plumber in Dallas is Not a Joking Matter
Have you heard the joke about the Plumber in Dallas who responded to an emergency call at a neurosurgeon’s home, worked for ten minutes and charged him a hundred dollars?
The neurosurgeon was appalled. “Man, he said, I’ve been through medical school, did seven years of residency and have been in practice 15 years and I still can’t charge that kind of money!”
“Neither could I” said the plumber, “when I was a brain surgeon!”
This joke is an illustration, not of the the money that a Plumber in Dallas charges, for few would actually charge so much for so little, but of how utterly essential plumbers are to our modern way of life.
We tend not to think much about our plumbing — until it fails to function as it should. But when it backs up, overflows, won’t run or shows up uninvited — that’s when we wish we had a plumber for a best friend! And while there are apprentice plumbers as well as master plumbers, three things that every Plumber in Dallas knows are that hot’s on the left, cold’s on the right, and poop runs downhill.
It isn’t really necessary to give specific advice as to when to call a plumber, because we tend to just have a sixth sense about these kinds of things. Water where it should not be is clearly a sign. Especially when it’s coming through the ceiling, or flooding the basement. Sewage that fills the kitchen sink, overflows the toilets, or rises up from the shower drain like black goo in a horror movie is another. Noise is a third clue. If the pipes are banging, shaking, gurgling or playing a macabre tune, you might just want to call the professional plunger and pipe wrench man. Did you drop one of your ten thousand dollar diamond earrings down the drain? Turn off the water and call a Plumber in Dallas.
All kidding aside, when it involves plumbing, you need a professional. The potential harm to your home is too great to try and solve major plumbing problems on your own, unless you already have the necessary training.
When you don’t understand, you need the man with the plan for the problem at hand.
